Discover what makes an observation record valuable for research and learn how to use apps, field guides, and websites to get involved in citizen science. Practice your new identification and data collecting skills on the plants of Pacific Spirit Park and Camosun Bog.
A Nature Vancouver Field Trip led by 2026 Hugh Hamilton Memorial Scholarship winner, Neon Westereng. Neon grew up walking the trails around Vancouver and it sparked their life long passion for coastal ecology and biodiversity. They are now in their last year of their undergraduate degree at UBC, majoring in Biology with a self-directed focus on the plants of forested watersheds. They are also an ambulatory wheelchair user and an advocate for providing multiple ways to interact with urban nature.
