How/Why are most of my Walks Free?
As a UBC Librarian I am considered Faculty and apart of my job includes 'Scholarship and Service" to the University and surrounding Community. Instead of writing and publishing Journal Articles, I have chosen to do this!
When do I Charge for a Walk?
For requests for Private Walks - in order to keep the demand manageable - I will charge a group rate that will depend on the size and type of group. This money will be donated to a Local Park Society (e.g. Pacific Spirit Park Society) that stewards the park or another Nature Organization. I will waive the group rate fee for student organizations and in special circumstances.
Can you Tip me anyways?
Yes! I'll donate this Tip money as well or give it to a co-leader of the walk.
Can you co-lead a Forest Walk with me?
Yes! I am always looking to collaborate! If you have expertise (both amateur or professional) in anything Nature or History related please do reach out to me using the Contact and Book Page with a suggestion for where and what you would like to do a walk on.
